Portland Community College
Manufacturing Engineering Technology
It is agreed that students transferring from Portland Community Colleges Machine Manufacturing Technology program to Oregon Institute of Technologys Manufacturing Engineering Technology program will be given full credit for all selected courses listed below.
This agreement is based on the evaluation of the rigor and content of the general education and technical courses at both Portland Community College and Oregon Institute of Technology and is subject to a yearly reevaluation by both schools for continuance. This agreement is dated March 2, 2006.
Baccalaureate students must complete a minimum of 60 credits of upper-division work before a degree will be awarded. Upper-division is defined as 300-and 400-level classes at a bachelors degree granting institution.
Transfer students may guarantee their catalog of graduation by obtaining written approval from their OIT major department and the Registrar. The agreed upon catalog will be the one a student uses when he/she transfers to OIT. Students must enroll at OIT within two years of this approval.
NOTE 1) :At least 50 credits of technical coursework must be taken from an ABET accredited (or equivalent) Baccalaureate Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Technology Program.
NOTE 2): Any excess technical credits from Portland Community College will be transferred as general elective credits to OIT.
NOTE 3): Baccalaureate students must complete a minimum of 60 credits of upper-division work before a degree will be awarded. Upper-division is defined as 300-and 400-level classes at a bachelors degree granting institution.
