Why did you choose Oregon Tech?

I received a basketball scholarship from Coach Danny Miles. I didn’t know where OIT was at all, but after looking at the school website and researching the programs offered, I knew OIT was the school for me.

What do you like best about your major?

With both my majors, I like the small class sizes. Unlike larger schools, the professors know each student by name and motivate each student to achieve their absolute best. Because OIT offers a ‘hands on’ approach to learning, a student is ready right away to be placed into any given working situation.

What clubs or activities are you involved with?

I am a member of the Men’s Basketball team here at OIT – the 2012 National Champions. In addition, I am the Administrative Officer for ASOIT – student government. Both these programs enable me to be self disciplined and communicate to the student body.

What career do you hope to have after you graduate from Oregon Tech?

After graduating from OIT, I hope to play professional basketball overseas. Once my basketball career has finished, I hope to use my degrees from OIT to work for the American Department of Justice.

Do you have any advice for incoming students?

OIT is an amazing school! If new students can get involved in the activities that the school offers, then they will enjoy every second of their time here, like I have.
