The Technical Communication minor supplements Oregon Tech technical degrees and provides advanced training and experience in communication skills. The minor offers specialized communication courses in such varied areas as proposal and grant writing, development of user documentation, document design, and technical editing.
The minor's courses build skills in project development, manual writing and editing, computer-aided writing and publishing, oral presentations, and interviewing skills that complement technical education.
Please see the linked document for more information about the minor, but know that the program is currently being revised. At present, COM 415 is not offered, but the other minor electives are. In addition, WRI 328 will be offered during the 2016-2017 school year.
