Synapse Configuration Settings

Before you can utilize synapse, you need to first change these settings in Internet Explorer and Synapse.

 You are advised to print these stages out or read them in a third party viewer like firefox.

Internet Explorer Settings:

Open Internet explorer

Click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options"

Select the "Security" tab

Select "Internet" and click the "Custom Level" button

 Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see "User Authentication"

 Select "Automatic logon with current user name and password" then press "OK"

 Select "Local Intranet" and click the "Custom Level" button

 Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see "User Authentication"

 Select "Automatic logon with current user name and password" then press "OK"

 At the bottom of the page press "OK"

 You can now close Internet explorer.

 

 Synapse Configurations:

Right click on the "Synapse" icon and select properties

 

Make sure that your settings match those of the picture.

*Note: If the settings are greyed out, you need to run the synapse settings as administrator. You can do this by going into the control panel and right clicking on the synapse icon and clicking "Run as Administrator". If you can not see the Synapse icon, you may need select the view large/small icon setting on the upper right hand side. Once you have run as administrator, the fields should not be grayed.

Click "OK". You are now ready to view images. Double click on the "Synapse" icon.
