Does the college offer an option between residence halls and apartment living?
There is one residence hall for students on campus. Off-campus housing is available in town, but not through the school.

Do co-ed residence halls exist?

Yes, the one residence hall on campus is co-ed, but the actual halls are separated for restroom and shower purposes.

Are the residence halls staffed with a resident house director?
There is a Director of Housing and Residence Life available on campus during regular business hours and on-call during non business hours. There is a Head Resident who lives in the building and is a senior student who is on call at all times. There are three Senior Resident Advisors, one per floor, and nine other Resident Advisors, three per floor.

Are students allowed to keep alcoholic beverages, firearms, or pets in their rooms?
Alcoholic beverages: There are 21-and-over halls where students who are of age to drink may keep and consume alcohol in their room as long as there are not any minors present and the door is kept closed. As for rooms and students that are not residing in the 21 and over halls, alcohol is strictly prohibited regardless of the residents age. Firearms: They may not be kept in the rooms, but they may be kept in the gun lockers in the Campus Safety gun lockers across campus. Pets: Residents are allowed to have fish and amphibians as pets, however, they may not keep a tank larger than 29 gallons with no more than 10 gallons of water in their rooms.

Do fraternities and sororities have separate housing?

Yes, but it is not on campus nor is it affiliated with the campus. Students that belong to those organizations are responsible for finding their own housing and it may be split among members.

What appliances are permitted in the residence hall room?
Residents are allowed to have phones, televisions, computers, printers, stereos, irons, hair dryers, curling irons and similar appliances, refrigerators, and microwaves (both with size limitations). Items that are not allowed include toasters, hotplates, and anything with an open flame. Residents are not allowed to burn candles or incense.

May students have private rooms?

Yes, they can request to live in a single room, meaning they would not share with another resident, but these are assigned on a first come, first serve basis and upperclassmen are given priority. Single rooms do cost a little more than a double or double deluxe room.

How many students share a room?
One or two, depending on whether or not the student is living in a double, double deluxe, or single room.

Are the residence halls air-conditioned?
No, but students may install window unit air conditioners in their room using the sliding window. It is best to check with Housing Office for any restrictions on installation.

Is there a tuition or room deposit required to reserve space?
There is a $150 application fee due when submitting your contract in the Spring. The Housing Office will assign you a room and send you a confirmation in July. There will then be a $250 confirmation deposit due in August to hold your spot that will later be deducted off of your housing bill for Fall term.

Do the residence halls have laundry facilities?
Yes, they are open 24 hours a day, and are operated by a card issued to residents at the beginning of each year that is run by a smart chip. Money can be put on the card during the weekdays when the housing office is open. Washers are $.75 and dryers are $.50.

Do the rooms have private or hall baths?
There are hall baths and showers that are cleaned daily during the week by custodians. Bathrooms typically have three stalls and four sinks and showers typically have 2-3 stalls. Female showers are locked and require a room key to unlock.


Are students subject to curfew?
And how are the residence halls secured for the evenings?
There is no curfew enforced for students. Once the building entrances have been locked, the students will need their room key to enter. The parking lot entrance is locked every weekday at 5pm and all weekend. The main entrance, home of the front desk lobby, is locked every night at 11pm.
