Oregon Tech Signs Bellingham Standout

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Head Oregon Tech baseball coach, Matt Miles, announced this week that Aaron Burke of Bellingham, Wash. has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Owls beginning next season.
Burke, in his senior season at Bellingham High School, earned first-team All-Whatcom County and second-team All-Northwest honors as a junior after batting .358, including a .541 on base percentage. Burke is a three-year starting centerfielder and leadoff hitter at BHS and in 2012 helped the Red Raiders to the 2012 2A state tournament for the first time in seven seasons. In 2010 Burke also helped the Bellingham American Legion A team to a Washington State Championship.
Aaron is the son of Kenny and Lauri Burke and plans to major in mechanical engineering at Oregon Tech this fall.
