Owls Drop 4th in a Row, Falling 3-2 at Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific scored three second half goals erasing an Oregon Tech 2-0 lead to win 3-2 Monday morning in Cascade Conference action. The game was a make-up game that was rained out back on September 28th.
Warner Pacific (4-9-0, 3-8-0 CCC) got goals from three different players over the final 30 minutes of play to pick up the come from behind victory.
Oregon Tech (5-10-0, 4-7-0 CC) scored the first goal as Ashton Betts converted a Penalty Kick in the 44th minute giving the Owls a 1-0 lead at the half.
Jackson Wold would give the visiting Owls a 2-0 lead as he took a cross from Betts and scored in the 59th minute.
Warner Pacific quickly answered just two minute after the Tech goal, as Ricky Carmolinga scored from 6 yards out just right of the post to make it a 2-1 game.
The Knights tied the game at 2 in the 77th minute as Edgar Contreras scored from 4 yards out off a deflected save by Tech’s Keeper Loren Jessen.
Jameson Jones then hit the game winner for Warner Pacific in the 81st minute taking a great pass through the box from Daniel Ervin, flicking the ball in for the eventual 3-2 win.
Tech’s Jessen had a busy day facing 19 shots with 10 saves.
Warner Pacific held a 19-8 advantage in shots and a 13-5 advantage in shots on goal.
The Owls will try to break their four game CCC losing streak as they travel to Northwest Christian University (1-14-0, 1-10 CCC) on Friday, November 1st in Eugene, Ore. at 4:00 pm
