Oregon Tech Hangs on for 68-62 Win over William Jessup

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A William Jessup 10-1 run late in the second period cut their deficit to just 3 points with 18 seconds to play, but Oregon Tech would hit 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch and earn a 68-62 win over WJU in game 3 of tonight’s Midland Empire Insurance Classic at Danny Miles Court.

Oregon Tech (3-2) will host Cal Maritime, losers this afternoon to Southern Oregon, 104-53, while William Jessup will open day 2 of the Classic up with Southern Oregon beginning at 1:00 PM.  Tech’s game will tip at 5:30 PM.

Karissa Dixon poured in 18 points, 14 coming in the first half, as the junior guard grabbed 7 rebounds and handed out 5 assists.  Kassi Conditt recorded a double-double with 18 rebounds to go with 13 points in the win for the Owls.  Nicole Aboumrad finished with 10 points with Maria Ramirez adding 6 points and 6 rebounds.

William Jessup was led by 17 points from Ashley Rose, followed by 16 from Taylor Borba and 14 points and 7 rebounds from Sarah Petersen.
