Oregon Tech Hangs on for 68-65 win Versus Lewis-Clark State

ASHLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech held an 11 point edge with under 5 minutes to play and held off a late Lewis-Clark State run, as the Lady Owls posted a 68-65 win over the Warriors on day 2 of the Flagship Inn Classic hosted by Southern Oregon University.
Oregon Tech will open Cascade Collegiate Conference action with a 6-2 overall mark as the Owls travel to Corban University this Friday in Salem.
Karissa Dixon led the Tech attack with a game-high 21 points followed by 15 from freshman Tess Armstrong. Nicole Aboumrad added 7 points and a game-high 5 assists with Colleen Hunt netting 6 points and Kassis Conditt 5 points and 9 rebounds in the win.
Ornela Bacchini led L-C State with a team-high 18 points to go with 9 rebounds with Annie Kane recording 13 points and Shelby Barnes 11 points. Kane and Barnes finished with 4 assists each.
Oregon Tech shot 41.6% from the floor (22-55), while holding the Warriors to 36.7% from the floor (22-60). The Warriors held a slight edge on the boards (39-34) with Tech coming away with 14 assists and just 10 turnovers in the game.
