Oregon Tech Track & Field Competes at Green & Gold Open

ARCATA—Hard rain welcomed the Oregon Tech track and field squads as the Owls traveled to the Green & Gold Open Saturday at Humboldt State University.


Jack Roberts earned Tech’s only individual top-honor with his 4:27.9 mark in the 1600m race.

 

Amelia Huhn (98-1, javelin), Rhonda Costin (12:04.2, 3200m) and Rachel Botsford (1:04.5, 100m) finished second on the women’s side with Samantha Lindauer (5:37, 1600m) and Shannelle Cayetano (13:88, 100m) placing third in their respective events.

 

On the men’s side Paul Adams and Scott Minor finished 2-3 in the 3200m race in 9:25 and 9:27.9 respectively.  In the javelin both Josh Wolf and Anthony Padilla earned 2nd place and 3rd place honors with throws of 147-8 and 139-2.5.


The teams will take a week off before competing in the Chico Multi-Event meet on Feb. 27th and 28th.
