No. 25 Owls Earn Sweep on Day 3 of Northwest Cup
CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- The Oregon Tech softball team swept a pair of games on day 3 of the Northwest Cup, picking up a 14-13 win in game 1 versus Simpson University, then knocked off Pacific Lutheran 10-4. 

Game 1 – Oregon Tech pounded out 14-runs on 14 hits led by Tori Weatherford who continued her hot start as drove in 3, scored 3 runs picking up a pair of hits. Danielle Sayers collected 3-hits to lead the hitting attack. Jessi Duncan and Rylee Carleton combined to strike-out 8, surviving 12 walks in the circle. Tech scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 9th after holding Simpson scoreless in the top of the frame.

Game 2 – Oregon Tech scored 6-runs in the top of the 7th on their way to a 10-4 win over Pacific Lutheran. Cassidy Olson went pitched a complete game to pick up the win striking out 4 giving up only 2 earned runs. Weatherford continued her stellar hitting leading the Owls with 3-hits, Tasha Silvius added 2-hits and 3-RBI including her first home-run of the year in the win.
