PORTLAND - Holding Concordia to 25.5 percent shooting on the night, Oregon Tech defeated the Cavaliers 82-50 on Friday night to move into sole possession of second place in the CCC standings.
Oregon Tech reached into the record book, and with their 24th victory of the year, set a single season wins mark in the process. Tech is 24-5 overall and now 12-5 in Cascade Conference play.
Tech raced out to a 48-19 halftime lead after connecting on 53.8% of their tries, while holding the Cavaliers to just 21.4 %, including just six made shots from the field.
Led by 14 points from Tess Armstrong, five Owls scored in double figures. Ashleigh Vandenbrink and Kassi Conditt added 12 points, with Conditt sharing game-high rebounding honors with Maria Ramirez with eight each. Karissa Dixon chipped in 11 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists with Rebekah Matteri finishing with 10 points in the win.
Oregon Tech shot 50.0% from the field (32-for-64), including 12-of-27 from long range. CU was held to just 25.5% shooting (14-of-55) and just 3-for-12 from the 3-point line, all in second half.
Lexi Campbell recorded a team-high 11 points in the loss for Concordia.
Oregon Tech will next play at Warner Pacific College in their last regular season contest of the year on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
