McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Oregon Tech’s Chase Meister and Darian Benanua tossed a pair of gems, giving up just one unearned run in each of their outings, but the Owls’ bats didn’t come through with a single run, as Tech dropped a pair of 1-0 games versus NCAA III opponents Willamette University and Linfield College in game 3 and game 4 of the Concordia University Tournament today at Roy Helser Field on the campus of Linfield College.

Meister tossed 7.2 innings versus Willamette, giving up just three hits and striking out two with the Bearcats coming away with an unearned run in their half of the eighth inning.  Spencer Reed finished 2-for-4, while Bryce Asoa and Ben Krueger added singles in today’s opener.

In game 2 versus No. 1 ranked Linfield College, Benanua scattered seven hits in his seven innings of work with the Wildcats gaining the 1-0 win on an unearned run in the fifth inning.  Krueger recorded his second hit of the day in the game with Ryan Hayden, Ethan Schlecht and Colton Minton adding singles in the loss.

Oregon Tech will next take a 4-10 overall mark to Salem where the Owls take on Corban University in non-conference play this Friday and Saturday.
