Oregon Tech Softball Named  CCC Team of the Week
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Oregon Tech softball team has been named the “Adidas Team of the Week” for March 17-23, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.

No. 22 Oregon Tech swept a pair of double headers against No. 15 The College of Idaho (3-2, 5-2) and Eastern Oregon University (8-4, 5-1) to move their CCC record to a league best 8-0.
Against the Yotes it took 8-innings to decide game No. 1 before a Tasha Silvius double would bring in the winning run. In game 2, Oregon Tech got home runs from Tori Weatherford (4) and Tre Sullivan (2) as pitcher Jessi Duncan picked up her 5th straight win

In the Saturday twin bill against the Mountaineers pitcher Cassidy Olson helped her own cause with 2 home runs in the first game. In the second game pitcher Jessi Duncan earned her 6th win of the season giving up only 1 earned run and four hits to the visitors.

OIT (15-5, 8-0 CCC) will travel to Southern Oregon, currently in 2nd place at 7-1, on Monday for another conference double header with the first pitch scheduled for 2:00 pm from University Field in Ashland, Ore.
