La Grande, Ore. --Oregon Tech’s Cassidy Olson and Kassi Conditt have each been named the Red Lion Player of the Week in their respective sport, the conference office announced today.

Olson, a senior from Anderson, Calif., was named CCC Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the week, improving to 8-3 on the season with a 3-1 win on the road at Southern Oregon.  Olson tossed a complete game, allowing six hits and no earned runs with a pair of strikeouts in the victory over the Raiders.  Tech is now 10-0 in CCC action and will next travel to Northwest Christian on Wednesday for a doubleheader with the Beacons.

Conditt, in her first meet of the season, earned Red Lion Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her effort in the shot put at the Chico State Four-Year Invitational this past weekend.  Conditt, a senior from La Pine, Ore. won her event with a throw of 42-07.5, outdistancing her competitors by more than two feet.  Conditt now leads the CCC by more than foot and ranks 11th in the NAIA in shot put event.
