Four Owls Compete at Oregon Relays

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – With just one meet remaining for the Owls before heading to the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships, Oregon Tech sent four athletes to the Oregon Relays held Thursday-Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene.

With a 100 meter hurdle time of 15.58, Kara Wood (Coos Bay, Ore.) now ranks No. 7 all-time for Tech, as the freshman finished third overall.  The race was won by Brittany Dugger with a time of 14.69.

Jake Ovgard finished fourth in the first heat of the 100 meter dash (11.17s) with Jacob Murray finishing the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.13.  In the 3000 meter steeplechase, Sara Howard clocked in at 12:03.74 in a race won by Carroll College’s Rhianna Grossman in 10:49.84.

The Owls will compete at the Mt. Hood Track Festival on April 26th before traveling to Caldwell Idaho for the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships May 9th and May 10th.
