Incoming Owl Advances to Junior Olympic National Meet

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech freshman-to-be Daniel Brattain (Salem, Ore.) recorded two wins at last week’s Regional Junior Olympic meet in Spokane, Washington, earning the right to compete in Houston, Texas at the National Junior Olympic meet beginning July, 26th.

Brattain, an incoming multi-event athlete and hurdler from McNary High School, won both the 110 hurdles (14.50s) and the decathlon at the regional meet with a total of 6344.  Brittain tallied 3234 points on day 1 and concluded day 2 of the decathlon with 3110 points.

Brattain currently ranks in the top 10 nationally in the decathlon heading into the national meet later in July.
