Baseball Opens 2012 Campaign This Weekend

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –The Oregon Tech baseball team will look to improve on a17-33 mark when the Owls take to California and open the 2012 campaign in February.  The Owls travel to Simpson University for a doubleheader Saturday, February 4th to open the season, and then will clash with Golden State Athletic Conference members in seven of the next 11 contests, including two games versus top-25 opponents. 

 

Oregon Tech, which plays 21 road games before their first home contest, faces GSAC perennial power, and No. 17 ranked, Fresno Pacific University, on Wednesday, February 8th in Fresno.  The Owls next tangle with No. 23 rated Madonna University, Mich. and NCAA II CSU Dominguez Hills in a pair of single nine-inning games before wrapping up the first weekend of play with a double header versus Vanguard University in Costa Mesa on Saturday.    

 

Oregon Tech baseball fans can follow the Hustlin' Owls this Friday when they visit Cal State Dominguez Hills on February, 10th. The game will be broadcast live worldwide via Internet radio on the Toro Sports Network.  Fans can listen free of charge with no registration required.  Coverage online at www.GoToros.com/Live will start about 11:45 a.m. with Toros GameDay counting down to the first pitch slated for noon. David Smock will call the play-by-play action from Toro Field in Carson.
