Oregon Tech Defeats No. 23 Madonna-Mich., 8-4

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Oregon Tech used a four-run first and three-run second inning, and held on to capture an 8-4 victory today over No. 23 ranked Madonna University – Mich.

The Owls move to 2-2 on the season and will next face NCAA II Cal State Dominguez Hills in a doubleheader Friday beginning at noon.  The game will be broadcast live worldwide via Internet radio on the Toro Sports Network.  Fans can listen free of charge with no registration required.  Coverage online at www.GoToros.com/Live will start about 11:45 a.m.

The Owl duo of Brad Walter and Dylan Rogers drove in five runs for Oregon Tech in the opening two frames, including a three-run blast from Rogers in the second inning.  Walters pushed two runs across in the opening inning on a two-run double to center.  Meanwhile, Dylan Bedortha threw 4 2/3 innings to pick up the win and move to 2-0 on the season.
