SANTA BARBARA — Zach Earle pitched a complete game, Alex Reynolds drove in three runs as Oregon Tech stopped Westmont, 5-2, Monday, in the second game of a non-league baseball doubleheader.

The win gave the Hustlin’ Owls a split in the final doubleheader between the teams, and allowed OIT to pick up its second win in three days. Tech beat LaSierra University Sunday, 8-4. Monday, Westmont won the opener, 4-1.

Earle struck out five without a walk, but did hit one batter, to pick up his first victory in three starts for OIT this season. Reynolds hit a double and single to drive in his runs, with Ryan Hayden and Dylan Rogers each getting an RBI.

In the first game, Hayden and Ryan Grant had singles for OIT. Westmont’s Timothy Lear hit a pair of home runs and drove in all four Warrior runs, three of which were unearned.

Oregon Tech is now 4-8 on the season and will travel to Portland and play in the NWC Challenge (Concordia Tournament) and will open up against Pacific University on Friday at 2:00 pm.
