Owls Split at No. 8 Linfield

McMinnville, Ore. – Oregon Tech’s Dylan Bedortha went the distance in game 2, while a Ryan Hayden homerun lifted the Owls to a 1-0 win in the nightcap.  Oregon Tech and NCAA III Linfield split today’s doubleheader, as the Wildcats took the opener 7-2.

Dylan Bedortha scattered five hits over nine innings in the nightcap to move to 2-2 on the season.  Bedortha struck out one and walked one.  Hayden’s homerun came in the top of the eighth inning.  Dylan Rogers added two hits, while Kyle Hansen double in the game.

Oregon Tech took an early lead in the opener, but Linfield broke a 2-2 tie with a three run seventh inning and plated two insurance runs in the eighth.

Oregon Tech recorded just three hits in game 1.  Colin Stock and Hayden each doubled, while Wade Elliot accounted for both RBI’s in the game – a second inning fielder’s choice and seventh inning single.
