Hunter Leads Owls Into Qarterfinals with 32 Points

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. - Oregon Tech, the No. 2 seed in this year's NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship, never trailed in its 69-50 win over Warner (Fla.) in the second round of the tournament.
The Hustlin' Owls were up 37-24 after one half and held off any Warner challenge in the second half, outscoring the Royals 32-26 in the second half.

Oregon Tech converted nearly half of their field goals, making 24-of-51 shots from the field and 18-of-21 free throws. Warner made 20-of-49 field goals and converted 7-of-21 three-point baskets and they struggled from the free throw line, going 3-of-11.
Bobby Hunter led the Hustlin' Owls with 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting and he dished out two assists with two steals. David Clarke was the only other Oregon Tech player in double figures with 13. Warner got 16 points from reserve Bryce Kachinski and Malcom Campbell had ten points and seven rebounds.
Warner, the No. 15 seed in the field, ends the season with a 24-11 record while Oregon Tech advances to the quarterfinal round against Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. CST. (1:00 pm West Coast) This is the first time since 2008 the Hustlin' Owls have advanced past the second round of the tournament. Oregon Tech is 31-4.
