2010 Division II Basketball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that six Oregon Tech basketball players have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Nominated by each institution’s head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, have achieved junior academic status and been enrolled at the nominating institution for a minimum of one academic year.
Two-time honorees include Kellie Morey-Lewis (Redmond, Ore.) from the women’s side, and both Mike Nieraeth (Bonanza, Ore.) and Brent Johnson (Medford, Ore.) for the men.
Senior guards Kelsey New (Roseburg, Ore.), Lisa Busch (Eugene, Ore.) and Nicole Morgan (Port Angeles, Wash.) were also honored and are first-time recipients of the national academic award.
