Oregon Tech Baseball, Softball Announce Venue Changes

03.21.2012

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Oregon Tech baseball coach, Matt Miles, and softball coach, Greg Stewart, announced Wednesday changes to their schedules.

For baseball, this Sunday’s doubleheader between the Owls and La Sierra University, along with a Tuesday doubleheader versus Willamette University, has both been moved to Harry & David Field in Medford, Ore.  Sunday's doubleheader begins at noon, while Tuesday's twinbill is set to start at 11 a.m.  It is the second time that Oregon Tech’s home opener has been moved due to weather.

Along with today's baseball announcement, this Friday’s scheduled Cascade Conference softball doubleheader between Oregon Tech and Corban University, to be played at the Softball Complex on the Oregon Tech campus, has be rescheduled to be played in Medford at the US Cellular Community Park on Friday, March 23rd beginning at 2 p.m.

It was decided that due to the amount of snow and moisture that the Klamath Basin received over the past week, as well as continuing poor field conditions at Kiger Stadium and the Softball Complex, that Oregon Tech will be unable to host these games.
