Owls Lose 4-0 to Willamette

Redding, CA. - Willamette University pitcher, Nikki Franchi, held the Oregon Tech softball team to just two hits and struck out 11 batters, as the Owls fell 4-0 to the Bearcats in today's single game played in Redding, Calif. The Owls drop to 6-7 on the season with the loss. Willamette improved to 10-1 on the season with the win.
Tech's Sunceray Titus singled in the first inning and a Brittany Warren single in the seventh were the only hits allowed. Amber Knight went four innings for the Owls, allowing seven hits and struck out two WU batters. Knight is now 1-1 on the season with the loss. Tech's Becca Anderson pitched the final three innings giving up just 1 run and 6 hits. Winning pitcher Nikki Franchi for Willamette also had 3 hits in 4 at bats including 2 doubles for the Bearcats.
The Lady Owls will debut at home against Simpson University this Wednesday, March 25th before beginning league play this Friday versus Corban College and Saturday against Concordia University. Wednesday's non-conference doubleheader versus Simpson will begin at 1:00 pm at the Oregon Tech Softball Complex.
