Waugh, Conditt Earn Individual Titles at Wildcat Invitational

CHICO, Calif. – With cold and windy conditions Saturday at University Stadium, the Oregon Tech men’s and women’s track and field team competed in just their third event of the season, with Katie Waugh and Kassi Conditt earning individual titles today at the Wildcat Invitational. 

Katie Waugh and Mary Matchett went 1-2 in the 800 meter race, with Waugh winning the individual title in a time of 2:23.13, followed closely behind by Matchett in 2:23.22.

Conditt won Tech’s other title in the shotput with a mark of 12.81 meters and took eighth place in the discus.

Joelle Swanson earned a third place in the javelin (38.21m), with Alyssa Castle taking sixth in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.78 seconds.

Tech’s Jacob Murray was the top men’s finisher on the day with a time of 16.74 in the 110 hurdles.
