Tech's Schmidt Earns Conference Honors

La Grande, Ore. - Taylor Schmidt, a pitcher from Medford, Ore., has been named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the period ending April 1st.

Schmidt appeared in five games last week picking up five victories for the league-leading Owls. The junior allowed 18 hits over 20.1 innings, while striking out 15 batters. Schmidt is currently 12-2 in the circle for the sixth-ranked Owls (22-4), and currently holds a 2.15 era, while batting .338 for Tech this season.

Schmidt joins teammate, Morgan Barnes, both earning Conference Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
