Oregon Tech Moves up to No. 21 in Coaches Softball Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After cracking the Top 25 for the first time since 2008 last week, the Oregon Tech Lady Owls Softball team moved up three positions to the number 21 spot in the third regular-season edition of the 2011 NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced today.
Oregon Tech has gone 14-1 in its last 15 games including seven in a row. The Owls are currently 23-6 on the season and are in first place in the Cascade Conference standing with a 9-1 mark.
Oregon Tech was the only Cascade Conference School represented in the Top 25 however, College of Idaho and Concordia University both received votes in this week’s poll.
Oregon Tech will play at home this Wednesday (April 6, 2011) as they host Southern Oregon University in a doubleheader beginning at noon. Southern Oregon currently sits in 2nd place in the CCC standings at 7-3 two games back of OIT. The Lady Owls will also host Concordia University on Saturday with the doubleheader scheduled to begin 11 a.m. at the OIT Softball Complex.
