Oregon Tech Softball Signs First Recruit of 2012 Season

04.05.2011

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head softball coach Greg Stewart announced recently that Ashley Sfetku of Vancouver, Wash. will join the Oregon Tech softball team in 2012.  Sfetku becomes the first signee for next season.

Sfetku, a 5-5 shortstop, was an all-league player at Hudson Bay High School after batting .535 for the Eagles in 2010.  Sfetku was also voted team MVP and plays for the Oregon Silver Bullet Gold ASA team.

“Ashley will give us some much needed depth in the middle infield next season,” said Stewart.  “She is a very good defensive player who has the potential to hit for both average and power.”

Ashley is the daughter of Curt and Lisa Sfetku of Vancouver and will major in Medical Imaging at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
