Oregon Tech Competes at Chico Twilight Over the Weekend

CHICO, Calif. – The Oregon Tech track team finished with three competitors in the top 3 during the Chico State Twilight Invitational Saturday night at University Stadium, as the Owls are gearing up and getting closer to hosting the year-end Cascade Collegiate Conference track and field championships in May. 

Freshman Mary Matchett took home a 2nd place finish in the 800 meter race, won by Cal State Stanislaus’ Amy Hundal (2:21.0), crossing in 2:22.05, while Kassi Conditt continued to place near the top of each of her shot put events.  Conditt place 2nd with a mark of 41-04.5.  Joelle Swanson muscled the javelin 120-04, finishing 3rd in that event, while James Hull was the top finisher on the men’s side with a 7th place showing in the 1500 meters (4:12.69).
