PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech senior Bryant Sentman (Cottage Grove, Ore.) earned Cascade Collegiate Conference honors, the league office announced Monday.

Sentman was named the CCC Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Mt. Hood Multi event this past Monday and Tuesday.

In his first decathlon of the season, Sentman won the Mt. Hood multi event with 6864 points, 247 points over the next closest competitor.

Sentman’s first day was highlighted by a throw of 38-7 feet in the shot put and a height of 6-5 in the high jump.

Sentman continued to push forward on day 2, as the All-American took top honors in the discus (140-6.5 feet) and the javelin (208-7).

The 6864 is enough to qualify him to the NAIA national meet, as the All-American is currently ranked No. 1 in the NAIA after last week’s event.

Sentman nearly eclipsed the OIT school-record with his throw in the javelin, one in which will also qualify him for that event at the national meet next month.
