KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – William Jessup University (25-13) pounded out 19 runs and 26 hits and swept a non-conference double-header 10-0 and 9-1 from No. 17 Oregon Tech (30-11) Monday afternoon at the OIT Softball Complex.

In game1: The Warriors exploded for 7 runs on 7 hits in the top of the 3rd to break open a scoreless game. William Jessup added 1more run in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th to win 10-0.

WJU starter Erin Houston pitched all 5 inning striking out 9 Tech hitters and allowed only 2 hits in picking up the win to improve to 13-6.

Four Warriors had 2 hits each in the game with Jacki Tuman leading the way with 3-hits.

Oregon Tech’s Amber Knight went the first 2.1 innings giving up 7-runs on 6-hits as she picked up the loss and fell to 0-2 on the season.

In game 2: Sam McMahon was a triple away from the cycle going 3 for 3 with a homerun for the Warriors as they scored 2-runs in the first, 3-runs in the second, 1-run in the 3rd and 4th and then 2 more runs in the 7th to win 9-1.

Oregon Tech’s Jackie Imhof pitched the first 4 innings giving up 4 earned runs on 8 hits while striking out 6 to set a new Oregon Tech record for strikeouts in a season now with 174.

Brittany Cherry had 3-hits in 3 at bats to lead Oregon Tech in the loss.

Oregon Tech (30-11, 16-4) will wrap up the regular season playing games this weekend at Corban University (18-13, 10-6) Friday and at Northwest Christian University (9-21, 3-13 on Saturday.
