KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- - Oregon Tech Head Women’s Basketball Coach Scott Meredith announced today the signing of Kiana Caban, a 5-10 guard/forward from Heritage High School in Brentwood, California.
Caban became the first ever 4 year letter winner in Heritage High School girls’ basketball history. She was named to the Bay Valley Athletic League’s 1st Team while averaging 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game while shooting an impressive 43% from the floor. Other honors include Heritage HS MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, Senior Class Female Athlete of the Year and was also a three time Scholar Athlete.
“We are thrilled that Kiana chose Oregon Tech as her school,” said Coach Meredith. “Besides being a great student and teammate, she can run the floor, has great range on her shot and is a solid defender and rebounder. She was a 4 year varsity starter in a very competitive Bay Area league. We think she is battle-tested.”
Kiana is the daughter of Orland and Sandy Caban. She plans to major in Health Sciences at Oregon Tech this fall.
