Owls Remain at No. 19 in Softball Poll

Klamath Falls, Ore. –The Oregon Tech softball didn’t play any games last week and remain at its No. 19 slot in the seventh edition of the 2011 NAIA Division II Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll announced Tuesday.
Cascade Conference opponents Corban University and Concordia both received votes in this week’s poll.
Oregon Tech has now been ranked in the Top 25 in the last five straight rankings.
An automatic berth in the NAIA Softball National Championships awaits the winner of this weekend’s Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament hosted by Oregon Tech
The three-team CCC tournament begins this Friday at noon with second-seeded Corban (24-15, 16-8 CCC) playing third-seeded Concordia (22-14, 15-9) in an elimination game. The winner moves on to face regular season conference champion Oregon Tech (33-12, 19-5) in a best of three series. The first game of the best-of-three series is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Friday. The series will continue at noon on Saturday, with a deciding game to follow, if necessary.
The NAIA Softball National Championships are scheduled to begin May 19 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
