05.05.2010
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech finished with six top-finishes on both the women’s and men’s side at the Last Chance track and field meet held at John F. Moehl Stadium on the campus of Oregon Institute of Technology Tuesday night.
The meet was the last tune-up for both the Owls and Southern Oregon University prior to the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship held in Portland, Ore. on May 13th through May 15th.
The Owls currently are sending five individuals and the 4X800 women’s relay team to Marian, Indiana for the 2010 NAIA National Championships – Bryant Sentman and Trevor Lundsten for the men, and Emilee Nehring, Nikki Smith and Sarah Schelb for the women. The relay team consists of Amanda McMillan, Rachel Novak, Statia Smith and Lori Carter.
With good efforts at the upcoming CCC championships, look for Alyssa McClellan, Tracy Filley, Derek Larman and Jessie Brewster to join the team at the national meet in their respective events.
