Oregon Tech Tunes Up for CCC Championships at Mt. Hood Festival

GRESHAM, Ore.—In the final meet before the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships next week in Portland, Oregon Tech sent nine athletes to compete at the Mt. Hood Track & Field Festival held on Saturday.

Individual honors went to Oregon Tech’s Kevin Ellingson, winning the pole vault with a height of 14.44 feet, while Micah Johnson finished in third place after clearing 13.94 feet.  Decathlete Bryant Sentman geared up for the NAIA National Championships as he competed in three events on the weekend.  Sentman came away with top-10 performances in the discus and long jump. 

Three Oregon Tech athletes on the women’s side came up with top-10 performances, as Tracy Filley placed third in the javelin and fourth in the high jump.  Kassi Conditt finished with a fourth place in the shot put and ninth in the discus, while Catlin Burch notched a seventh place in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump.
