Hawaii Hoops Player Signs at Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon (May 19, 2010) --- Oregon Tech men’s basketball coach Danny Miles announced that Brandon Bautista of Kohala High School in Kapaau, Hawaii will join the Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owl basketball team this fall.
Bautista, a 5-8 and 140lb guard, averaged 12.0 points, 6.9 assists and 4.0 steals on his way to a First-Team All-State selection and the Division II Hawaii Player of the Year.
“Brandon is a terrific player with excellent court vision and explosiveness”. Said Miles. “He is a tremendous defender with great passing skills and comes highly recommended.”
Brandon is the son of Moses and Elizabeth Bautista and will major in Communication Studies at Oregon Tech this fall.
Perennial powerhouse, Oregon Tech, finished 30-5 last season winning both the regular season and Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. The Hustlin’ Owls won the NAIA Division II National Championship in both 2004 and 2008, including “Sweet 16” appearances in both 2009 and 2010.
