10 Student-Athletes Earn NAIA Scholar Award for Owls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ten Oregon Tech student-athletes in the spring sports of softball, baseball and men’s and women’s track and field have earned the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Award for their performances on the field of play and in the classroom, the NAIA office announced today. 

To earn recognition as a NAIA Scholar Athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a junior in class standing.

2011 spring sport honorees include:

Ryan Howard             Salem, Ore.                   Track and Field

Gerald Davis              Bandon, Ore.                Track and Field

Brian Keebler             Springfield, Ore.            Track and Field

Sharon Johnson         Medford, Ore.               Track and Field

Statia Smith               Medford, Ore.               Track and Field

Bree Larson               Yamhill, Ore.                 Softball

Kayde Schaefer         Beaverton, Ore.             Softball

Tommy Wood            Eureka, Calif.                Baseball

Zack Earle                 Medford, Ore.               Baseball

Wade Elliot                Powell, Wyo.                Baseball
