Tech Volleyball Inks Island Star

KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon (May 21, 2008)—Oregon Tech head volleyball coach Angela Stewart announced today that Ka'iulani Evans-Bautista of Hilo, Hawaii has signed a letter of intent to join the Owls this coming season.
Evans-Bautista, a 5-9", middle/outside hitter is currently a senior at Kamehameha High School, where she was named the BIIF Player of the Year in Division 1 for the big island in 2008. Evans-Bautista was also a three-time 1st team BIIF selction her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and helped her team to the Hawaii State Tournament on three separate occasions.
"We are excited Ka'iulani will be joining us at Oregon Tech” said Coach Stewart “She is a very skillful all-around player with a lot of talent and is an excellent fit both academically and athletically to our program. She is a very positive teammate and gives us another quality player on our roster this coming season”.
Ka’iulani is the daughter of Jose Bautista and Loke Evans of Hilo, HI and will major in Dental Hygiene at Oregon Tech.
