KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head baseball coach Matt Miles announced today that Ethan Schlecht, a 6-0 infielder from Ashland, Ore., has recently signed a letter of intent and will join the Owl roster in 2013.

Schlecht, a graduate of Ashland High School, was a two-time all-conference selection, also earning Second-Team All-State honors in 2011 and 2012 for the Grizzlies.  Schlecht also led the Medford Mustangs to an American Legion State Title, earning the 2011 State MVP award.

“We are very excited to have signed one of the top players in the Southern Oregon region,” commented Miles. “Ethan will definitely have an immediate impact to our program and in the conference.”

Ethan is the son of Jeff and Joyce Schlecht and plans on majoring in echocardiography at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
