Track and Field certification course held at Oregon Tech

Oregon Tech will host a USA Track & Field officials certification program on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19 - held in the Mt. McLaughlin room in the College Union on the campus of Oregon Institute of Technology.

Once certified, officials can work USATF, NFHS, NCAA and NAIA competitions, with the chance to move up to IAAF and high level track and field meets.

The first session, at 6 p.m. Friday, will be an introduction to officiating and track events. The 10 a.m. Saturday session will cover throwing events, jumps and include certification paperwork.

Cost is $30 for certification, $30 to join USATF and $10 for training materials on a CD.
