KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- - Oregon Tech Head Women’s Basketball Coach Scott Meredith announced today the signing of Karissa Harbick a 5-9, Guard from McKenzie High School.
Harbick was a 1st team all league and 1st team all state selection in her junior and senior seasons. She averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists per game in leading McKenzie to the State 1A Championship this past season with a record of 28-1. Harbick averaged 23 points per game during her team’s championship run in the state finals.
“Karissa is an outstanding athlete. She was one of the most dominant players at the 1A level in Oregon the last couple of years and led her team to a state championship last season.” said Coach Meredith. “She has an outstanding shot and can defend several positions. There is a physical aspect to her game and she can play both guard and forward. As part of a championship team, she has experienced success and knows what it takes to earn a title. She will be a very welcome addition to our team and is part of a very talented incoming freshman class for the Owls.”
Karissa is the daughter of Rick Harbick and Teresa Williams. She plans to major in Medical Imaging Technology at Oregon Tech this fall.
