10 Teams Earn NAIA Scholar Award

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The list of NAIA Scholar Teams was released recently, as a total of 10 of the Owls’ 11 teams earned the distinction of being named to the 2010-11 NAIA Scholar Team.

Each team must register a team cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

Oregon Tech joined a record 954 other NAIA teams nationally to earn the distinction, an increase over last year’s total of 857.

Leading the way for the Owls in 2010-11 was the women’s cross country team with a 3.47 team GPA.

In order the recipients were – women’s cross country (3.47), volleyball (3.32), women’s track and field (3.30), men’s basketball (3.25), women’s basketball (3.24), softball (3.17), baseball (3.16), women’s soccer (3.16), men’s cross country (3.11) and men’s track and field (3.04).
