KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head softball coach Greg Stewart announced recently that Kaitlyn Anderson of Eugene, Ore. has signed a letter of intent and will join the Owl softball roster beginning in 2012.
Anderson was named to the Midwestern Conference first team after batting .370, including 2 homeruns and 2 triples to go with 4 doubles for Churchill High School this past season. The all-conference catcher was later named to the 5A All-State honorable mention team for the Lancers.
“Kaitlyn is a very good hitting catcher with a strong arm behind the plate. She gives our program another good catching option for the next four years, but has the ability to play in the outfield or at a corner infield position,” said Stewart. “Kaitlyn is another good product of the Oregon Reign ASA program and Coach Eric Leyba of Churchill High.”
Kaitlyn is the daughter of Wayne and Kim Anderson of Eugene and plans on majoring in Biology beginning this fall at OIT.
