Eight Teams Earn NAIA Scholar Award

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The list of NAIA Scholar Teams was released recently, as a total of eight of the Owls’ 11 teams earned the distinction of being named to the 2009-10 NAIA Scholar Team.

Each team must register a team cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Oregon Tech joined 41 other Cascade Conference teams and 824 other teams nationally to earn the distinction.

Leading the way for the Owls in 2009-10 was the women’s cross country team with a 3.65 team GPA.

In order the recipients were – women’s cross country (3.65), women’s basketball (3.32) and women’s soccer (3.32), women’s track & field (3.17), softball (3.16), men’s basketball (3.15), volleyball 3.10 and men’s track and field (3.02).
