The Oregon Tech Lady Owls Shocked No. 1 Fresno Pacific today wining the 5 set thriller 25-19, 20-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-8. The win is the first ever in school history over a No. 1 Ranked team.
Oregon Tech won the first set 25-19 but dropped the next two sets 25-20 and 25-18.
The Lady Owls won the 4th set 25-20 to force a winner take all 5th set.
Oregon Tech won the final set 15-8 to claim the win 3-2.
Oregon Tech was led by Joey Parnell and Mindy Nalder who each had 16 kills in the win. Krystie Vea had a game high 25 digs with Parnell adding 14 and Nalder 11. Sarah Sveden had 34 assists for Oregon Tech.
Oregon Tech improves to 1-0 on the season and will continue on the road next week playing at William Jessup University Wednesday, August 24 in Rocklin, CA. No. 1 Fresno Pacific slips to 0-2 on the season with back to back losses to Oregon Tech and No. 14 SOU
