Owls win in three over William Jessup

Sarah Svedin (Jr. Palmer, Alaska) filled the stat sheet in sweep over William Jessup University. Svedin finished with five kills, seven digs, three blocks, two aces and 12 assists.

Rocklin, Calif. – The Oregon Tech volleyball team improved to 3-2 on the season as the Owls posted a three set win over William Jessup University tonight in California (25-18, 25-18, 29-27). William Jessup was picked in the preseason to finish second in the Cal Pac standings in 2010.

Mikayla Morgan and Jennifer Saltenberger tied with a match-high seven kills apiece to lead the Tech offense. Setter Sarah Svedin and outside hitter Kristen Walters added five kills each in the win. Hannah Brewster continues to pace the Owl defense, tallying a match-high 12 digs, followed by seven from Svedin. Svedin and freshman setter Kayleigh Whelchel finished with 12 assists each.

The Owls are idle on Thursday before playing a doubleheader versus Bethany University and Menlo College – both matches will be played in Scotts Valley, Calif.
