Owls Remain Perfect with 2-1 Win Over Southern

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore - Oregon Tech came away with a 2-1 non-conference victory over Southern Oregon today after coming back from a 1-0 deficit. The Owls hit a pair of goals within a three minute span to steal the win from the rival Raiders today at University Field in Ashland.

Oregon Tech remains perfect on the season at 3-0.

After a scoreless first half, SOU's Denise Powell pounded in a goal from the top of the penalty box for the games first score at the 59 minute mark.

The Owls were then able to knot the contest at 1-1 when Brooke Cole found the back of the net from 22 yards out at the 69 minute mark.

Only three minutes later it was Oregon Tech again, as Kaila Dillon took a pass from Cole and buried a left-foot kick into the net from 10 yards away, which proved to be the game-winner.

Tech goalie Megan Ross then held SOU scoreless in the final minutes of play to help seal the win for the Owls.

Oregon Tech (3-0) will open their home schedule with a non-conference game versus Simpson University on Tuesday, September 1st at 4:30 pm. The men's soccer team will follow the women at 7 pm, also versus Simpson. Both games will be played at the Steen Sports Park.
