Owls Suffer Three Set Loss to Mountaineers

La Grande, Ore. (9-12-09) - The Oregon Tech volleyball team suffered a three set decision to Eastern Oregon University Saturday night 25-11, 25-21, 25-21. The Owls are 1-11 overall and sit at 0-4 in CCC play.
The Oregon Tech offense sputtered against EOU, hitting for a negative percentage in each set and a -.061 for the match. Eastern Oregon hit at a .216 pace and held a 38 to 20 kill advantage over Tech.
Megan Christensen continues to be consistent for the Owls, finishing with a team-high seven kills, while picking up a dozen digs. Christine Bansen added five kills and Weitz followed with three. Tech libero Joey Larsen tallied six digs, while the Owls got five each from Bansen and Sarah Svedin.
Oregon Tech will continue league play with matches against The Evergreen State College and Northwest University on Friday and Saturday at Danny Miles Court. Both matches will begin at 7 pm.
