Oregon Tech Gains Sweep at Simpson University

REDDING, Calif. – The Oregon Tech volleyball team battled back from deficits in all three sets to eventually sweep a non-conference road match 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) from Simpson University tonight in Redding.  The win lifts OIT to 7-4 overall.

Oregon Tech was led by team-high kills from Mindy Nalder and Joey Parnell, with eight each, while Tessa Houck and Kristen Walters followed with five kills apiece in the victory for the Owls.  Kayleigh Whelchel recorded 24 assists and 10 digs, while Marie Baumann anchored the Tech defense with 13 digs, followed by 12 digs from Nalder. 

Oregon Tech (7-4, 1-4 CCC) resumes conference action this Friday and Saturday at home versus The Evergreen State College and Northwest University with both matches beginning at 7 p.m.
